Grand Challenges Scholars Program
The Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) prepares students at Colorado School of Mines to be world-changers and offers opportunities to tackle big problems with even bigger impact. Sponsored by the National Academy of Engineering, the GCSP includes unique experiences unified by challenges faced by our world today – supplying clean drinking water, reverse engineering the brain, and making solar energy economical, to name a few.
As a Scholar, you will have the chance to combine coursework, extracurricular activities, and internship and volunteer experiences to prepare you to address the Engineering Grand Challenges. You will gain skills in interdisciplinary projects, working across diverse cultures, applying your engineering prowess in the service of others, entrepreneurship, and critically=-assessing problem definitions and solutions.
